Sounds of Life was started in 2014 because of my frustration with the sales-driven culture of the hearing aid industry where it seemed profit was often put ahead of the well-being of clients.  I set out to make Sounds of Life different.  Sounds of Life is unique in many ways.

Firstly, Sounds of Life prides itself as being client-centred, offering highly personalised hearing care. We are passionate about helping our clients improve their hearing and enjoy the sounds of life.  We enjoy working with every one of our clients to understand their hearing difficulties and to find the best solution for their hearing and lifestyle needs without spending a fortune.

Secondly, we are independently owned by audiologists, not owned by a hearing aid manufacturer.  Being independent means we are not restricted to a limited range of hearing aids from one brand.  We have access to all the latest hearing aid technologies from all major brands.  This means that when you see Sounds of Life you will be recommended the best and latest hearing aid on the market for your unique needs and preferences.

Finally, we offer affordable and transparent hearing aid pricing.  We aim to offer the lowest hearing aid prices (including consultation fees) in Brisbane with no hidden costs.  Unlike other hearing centres who may offer affordable hearing aids but charge overly-inflated consultation fees, we believe in keeping everything transparent and affordable.   We definitely do not believe in sales commissions.

Recently the ACCC  released a report Issues around the sale of hearing aids investigating the practices of some of the major hearing clinic chains in Australia.  Sounds of Life welcomes the ACCC investigation into the hearing industry and we encourage all clients to read the report.  The report is available here for download.
