Why We Do Not Support Sales Commissions
There has been a lot of talk in the media recently about hearing care providers receiving sales commissions/incentives for recommending particular hearing aid brands or models. Unfortunately this practice is very common in the major retail hearing chains including vertically integrated (manufacturer-owned) chains.
At Sounds of Life we do not support the practice of hearing aid sales commissions, nor manufacturer incentives as we believe this is contrary to providing the best objective clinical care to our clients.
Sounds of Life is an independent hearing aid company fully owned and operated by a clinical audiologist who adheres to the Audiology Australia code of ethics. Being independent, we have the freedom of choice to recommend a range of hearing aid brands and models that best suits our clients’ hearing loss and hearing needs. We do not accept any incentives from manufacturers to “push” their product. We negotiate hard with manufacturers to ensure the best upfront pricing that can be passed on to our clients. We do not pay any sales commissions to staff.
